Universal’s ‘Trolls Band Together’ Climbs Atop Weekly U.K. Home Entertainment Sales Chart Media Play News

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment’s animated threequel Trolls Band Together climbed 20 spots to earns its place in the sun at No. 1 on the weekly Official Film Chart through Jan. 17.

Due in part to the pandemic, the movie’s predecessor, Trolls World Tour, was the first movie to stay atop the chart for six consecutive weeks in 2020, and spent a total of seven non-consecutive weeks at No. 1.

Meanwhile, Oppenheimer rebounds one place to Number 2, while last week’s chart-topper, Lionsgate U.K.’s The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes fell two spots to No. 3. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s actioner The Equalizer 3 remained at No. 4, holding Warner Bros. Pictures Home Entertainment’s Barbie, which fell three spots to No. 5.

Universal’s The Exorcist: Believer climbed nine spots to finish No. 6, while new French courtroom drama Anatomy of a Fall debuted at No. 7, starring Sandra Hüller and Swann Arlaud. After her husband is found dead under suspicious circumstances in the snow outside their home, German writer Sandra is indicted for his murder. The film follows her trial picking apart their relationship, while their son is caught in the middle.

Disney’s Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny at the No. 8, family-friendly adventure Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie (9), and Warner’s biopic Elvis (10) which re-entered the Top 10 for the first time since May 2023.
